| The goal of
this research activity was to enhance the
surveyor's work processes. Towards this end, we have employed technology from various
sources. During the years 1999-2000, DNV's Mobile Worker Project was selected as a test site for an exciting new technology - IBM's Wearable PC. The WCT consisted of a complete PC, however it is the size of a pack of cigarettes and did not weigh much more. It consisted of a head-mounted color display and a variety
of input devices such as: helm-mounted camera, belt-mounted keyboard, a handheld mouse and
a microphone. IEEE Spectrum
